This is a post for Teaser Tuesday, which is where I randomly pick a page of the book I'm reading at the moment, and share with all you lovelies two sentences off that page, with no spoilers allowed. This is a weekly event, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. The button is supplied by the lovely Kylee of Babbling of a Bookaholic.
This week I'm reading First Catch Your Husband; Adventures on the Dating Front Line, by Sarah Bridge. It's a very funny autobiographical account of dating in London in your 30s. If anyone in the UK is interested in the book (which you should be), there is a competition to win a copy currently on goodreads that is running until the 22nd of December.
Then they say the words "My wife..." or "My girlfriend..." or "My boyfriend..." and I'll keep on chatting and laughing, but inside I'll be raging YET AGAIN, and yet the very next night I'll do it all over again, working out what to wear, how to look, feeling glad I forced myself to go to the gym that lunchtime to counteract the effects of all these fruitless nights out. So perhaps you can understand that when someone says, "Well, you've just got to get out there," I just want to shout "Oh, FUCK OFF!"
See you next week!
